Invest in Łódź

Transport Hub

Complete Motorway Ring

Łódź is the only city in Poland with a fully completed bypass composed entirely of high-speed roads, making it a unique node within the national transportation network. With the recent opening of a nearly 16-kilometer section of the S14 expressway, the city has gained a full ring road with a total length of approximately 112 km.

The Łódź ring road consists of four main sections:

  • The northern part, just under 20 km long, follows the A2 motorway,
  • The eastern section, a little over 30 km, forms part of the A1 motorway,
  • The southern fragment includes more than 21 km of the S8 expressway,
  • The western part comprises the S14 expressway, extending nearly 41 km.

Thanks to this modern infrastructure, transit traffic can be distributed more evenly around Łódź, significantly improving driving comfort—especially during peak periods. This solution also enhances the efficiency of transport by speeding up the movement of goods and people.

Łódź Airport – A Regional Air Hub in the Heart of Poland

Łódź is a city that connects—thanks in part to its conveniently located airport. Łódź Wladyslaw Reymont Airport serves as a regional hub for Central Poland and is located within the city limits. Reaching the airport takes only 15 minutes from the city center, making it exceptionally convenient for travelers.

The airport features a modern passenger terminal designed for comfort and efficiency, providing a smooth travel experience tailored to the needs of today’s passengers. It is a perfect gateway for starting or ending a journey.

Łódź Airport is a true showcase for the city—combining local convenience with international reach.

Since 2012, the airport has also operated a certified cargo terminal, recognized by the Civil Aviation Authority (certification number PL/RA/00008-01). LCJ CARGO specializes in comprehensive air freight handling. Staff are fully authorized to manage DGR (dangerous goods) shipments, further expanding the range of cargo services provided.

More information about the airport’s offerings can be found on the official website of Łódź Wladyslaw Reymont Airport.

Railway Cross-City Tunnel

Currently under construction is the cross-city tunnel that will connect Łódź Fabryczna station with Łódź Kaliska and Łódź Żabieniec stations. The tunnel will be 7.5 kilometers long and run 17 meters beneath the city center.

This project will play a crucial role in improving both local and regional transport infrastructure. It will integrate long-distance high-speed rail with suburban commuter trains, enabling smooth connections in all directions. A major milestone was the completion of the new Łódź Fabryczna station, which is set to become one of the largest intermodal hubs in the country once the Central Communication Port is operational. Even now, the location offers efficient railway and bus services
