The Centre was established in a revitalised facility at Żeromskiego Street 115, within the Centre for Vocational and Continuing Education. The space, with its industrial heritage, has been adapted to serve modern training and technological functions, supporting the development of competences that respond to changing labour market needs.

Skills Designed for the Economy

The Sectoral Centre of Skills has been designed as a place for practical training, closely linked to company activities and technological trends. Training programmes focus on modern production processes, digitalisation, automation and a sustainable approach to manufacturing.

The Centre’s offer will be available to students, adults upgrading their qualifications, teaching staff and industry representatives, fostering the exchange of knowledge and experience between education and business.

Textiles as a Sector of the Future

Although textiles is one of the pillars of Łódź’s historical development, the sector is now undergoing dynamic transformation. The development of advanced materials, technical textiles and innovative production technologies gives the industry new significance across many economic areas.

The new Centre strengthens the region’s capacity to train specialists who will meet the needs of companies operating both domestically and internationally.

Official Opening and Voices of Partners

The opening ceremony brought together representatives of central and local government, educational institutions, the academic community and industry partners. Among the participants were representatives of city authorities and the Ministry of Education.

Part of a Nationwide Programme

The project is implemented under the National Recovery Plan and forms part of the national network of Sectoral Centres of Skills. This initiative aims to modernise the vocational education system and increase access to key competences for economic and technological transformation.

Investment in People and Regional Competitiveness

The opening of the Sectoral Centre of Skills sends a clear signal that Łódź is consistently investing in human capital, competence development and strengthening cooperation between education and industry.
