Łódź - A City with Investment Potential on the Map of Poland

Would you like to learn more about Łódź’s investment potential? Its strengths, resources, and business environment? We invite you to read the report prepared jointly by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), Invest in Łódź, and Hays.

Łódź, a dynamically developing city in central Poland, stands out with its enormous investment potential.

The publication prepared by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and Invest in Łódź, in cooperation with Hays, presents key information about the city, its available workforce, the IT and BSS markets, as well as office infrastructure.

Publication provides essential insights into Łódź, the local talent pool, a brief overview of the IT and BSS sectors, case studies, and an outline of the office market. The city consistently ranks highly in prestigious investment classifications, and its unique industrial heritage, combined with modern investments, attracts entrepreneurs from diverse industries. Particularly dynamic growth can be observed in the services sector (IT, BPO/SSC, GBS, FinTech), with long-standing strengths in manufacturing, e-commerce, life sciences, and logistics.

One of Łódź’s greatest assets is its location - right in the heart of Poland with excellent transport infrastructure. It is also one of the largest academic centers in the country: over 74,000 students study across 20 universities, creating a strong talent pipeline for investors.

Łódź’s success in attracting investment is also due to the active support provided by the City Hall. As Marek Bartosik, Executive Director of GFT Poland, emphasizes:

„The city offers many advantages: an excellent location, numerous renowned universities, a dynamic network of collaborating companies, and strong support from the City Hall, which actively fosters business growth and related initiatives”.

Meanwhile, Wojciech Zieliński, CEO of MakoLab, points out:

From an investor’s perspective, Łódź is a place of highly developed cooperation between business, local administration, schools, universities, and the wider business ecosystem. This translates into tangible results in terms of investment growth, improved quality of education, innovation, and job creation”.
